Catherine heads the firm’s Dispute Resolution Group. Her practice includes complex disputes in the media sector, and she has a recognised expertise in defamation and privacy. Catherine deals with intellectual property disputes, challenges to registered trade marks, performance rights issues, management disputes, corporate contractual disputes and matters of professional negligence and breaches of fiduciary duties. She also advises on reputation management.

Catherine acts for high profile clients from the media and corporate sectors. She has acted in a number of cases in the music industry, and her clients have included performers, musicians and independent record and publishing labels.

Catherine has a special expertise in Court of Protection matters, with significant expertise in the practice and procedures of the Court. She is an appointed Deputy.

Catherine trained at Rubinstein Callingham and has focused on disputes in the media sector since qualification. She was head of the Dispute Resolution Group at her previous firm before joining Swan Turton.

Catherine is an associate of the Institute of Trade Mark Attorneys; a member of the Media Society, and of Women in Film and Television; a member of the International Association of Entertainment Lawyers; and was on the development committee at the Soho Theatre.
