Before beginning his career in law James worked in both London and Washington D.C. for charitable, public affairs, lobbying and advocacy organisations.  James joined Swan Turton in November 2010 as a Paralegal assisting the Dispute Resolution Team before beginning his training contract with the firm in October 2011. He works closely with Catherine Fehler, Charles Swan and Tracy McManus on all aspects of media, litigation and intellectual property law. More recently he has assisted in commercial contract disputes for clients in the media and entertainment industry.

James studied American Studies, History and Politics at King’s College London and Georgetown University, before going on to complete the Graduate Diploma in Law and Legal Practice Course at Kaplan Law School in 2010.
